Simon is very different from the other boys because he thinks before he talks and he cares about others. He actually acts and talks according to his conscience and feelings. He tries to make everyone work together by trying to make solve some simple problems that later may become some big ones.He sometimes doesn't express himself because he's afraid of what people may think of his ideas, even though they may be the solution. Jack always makes fun of Piggy and Simon is afraid it may be the same way with him. He seems to know what Jack thinks because he can see beyond his proud and tough personality. He understands what Jack is actually thinking because he assimilates something different from what he really is.
Simon has changed from the beginning. Now he is not that afraid to speak up and give his opinion. He is the boy that cares about others and their needs. For example when Jack didn't give Piggy some meat, he offered him what he had received. He is like Jesus in many ways. Simon makes sacrifices, helps the boys, talks in parables and even worked as a messenger just like Jesus (when he offered himself to go and advice Piggy when they were searching for the beast). So in conclusion he is the Jesus in story.
