Boring Morning, Fun Afternoon

"What are we doing today?" I asked my mom.

"I'm not sure...Maybe we can rent a movie," she replied.

We planned to do something "fun" until my dad comes--Thursday--but is always in the afternoon because my mom works. It is good, but the bad part is that we don't do anything in the morning. Today it was really boring...Everything changed when my mom came home. She was hungry and we all ate together except my brother who was again in his friend's house. It is getting kind of old.

After lunch my mom picked up my brother because we were going out--I don't know where. My mom always gets us out in the afternoon to do something even though it is something stupid. She want to spend stuff for us--not like my dad...

My mom told my brother that we were going to the mall and eat some ice cream. You know, to pass some time together. Santiago made a fuzz because he wanted to go to the movies and watch "How to Train Your Dragon" (I wrote about it in a previous Slice of Life). My mom was planning to watch it tomorrow, but she got convinced. I had no problem because it seemed a nice movie so I agreed.

We went to Multiplaza and bought the tickets. The movie was is in 3D. There were 30 minutes of commercials! We were getting really tied of them until the freaking movie started.

"Hopefully it will be a good movie..." I thought.

We waited for 30 minutes! There a lot of commercials about the same thing--3D movies. It was really boring, but finally the guy sitting on the cloud that is always fishing appeared and the letters that spelled "DREAM WORKS" appeared. It finally started!

It was a really nice movie. I didn' want it to end. I kind of didn't like that the kid--the protagonist--lost his foot, but I didn't paid much attention to it. It is one of this animated movies that leave a moral in you. Even my mom liked it! The morning was boring, but luckily the afternoons are always fun.
