"Please be ready when I come," my mom said seriously.
She was going to pick me up about 5:30 pm or so, but she knew I wouldn't be ready if she didn't advice me early enough. I was going to church but just for young people. It is difficult to explain, but the point is that I was going. I answered her vaguely because I was focused in my homework. I wanted to finish early today...
I kept doing my homework and time passed and I didn't notice. You may be already thinking that I will forget and that I won't be ready, but for some reason I looked at the clock just in time. It was about 4:30 and I had to do one more homework and study for the "fairly-easy hyphen test". I preferred to advance a little in that homework that I had to do, and it came out that I finished it just in time. It was almost 5:00 and I had to run, so that I could be ready at 5:30. I had to take a bath, wash my hair, dress really fast and wash my teeth in 30 minutes. I take at least 15 minutes to wash my teeth because I have braces.
I did the best that I could and I finished at 5:45 (kind of) and my mom wasn't here yet! I was waiting for her really alert because she said she will "beep" and I will have to go out immediately. I usually take five to ten minutes to go out, but this time I wanted to surprise her. I waited impatiently for her and she still wasn't here. She didn't even call! It was weird because my mom is always early. Uhmm...
I finally decided to start studying for the test. I got chance to write it in my computer and study, but I did it in a rush so I will then review at night. I waited, and waited, and waited. Even my grandma called through skype! I answered but to tell her that I couldn't talk. She was a little disappointed... Ops... I felt bad for her so I told her that I will call at night, but she had a meeting. It will be tomorrow then.
Like I was saying, I kept waiting and I studied over and over but with not much attention. I finally herd a car. I went out, but it wasn't my mom. What a disappointment...Then I herd another car and I ran again. Another big disappointment. When a third car came I just stood there because I thought it will be another "false alarm", but this time it was my mom. I ran for the last time and there she was.
I finally got there, late, but at least I was there, you know. I said good-bye to her and entered the church.
