"Why is everyone so quiet and calmed this morning?" I thought when I came to eat breakfast.
I just realized that we were going to the Mexican Embassy and I had no idea what for (neither my mom). My dad went to his office first because he had to make a presentation and then he is supposed to meet us at the Embassy. My dad left, and we were still at home. We wanted to eat "arepas" today, but my mom had no idea how to make them and we waited almost half an hour for my maid to come. She was the only one that knew how to make them. (It was a waist of time, I know.) When she finally came--almost at 8:15-- we helped her in everything so that she could make them faster. We ate eagerly ten minutes later.
We were all ready to go. When we got into the car we realized that there was a tiny problem. We had no idea where it was. My dad tried to explain us where we should go, but he didn't know how to do it. My mom ended up calling my dad's secretary and he was totaly wrong. It is located in Obarrio. We finally got there after we were lost for 15 minutes. (The secretary was also wrong and we called the Embassy.)
We got there ready to do everything, but my dad wasn't there yet and we had no idea what we were doing there. We didn't know what we were gonna do. The only thing that my mom we knew was that we have been told to come here for some reason. It was pathetic. We were just waiting for my dad to come and we almost had to give our turn to another person. My dad finally came after waiting for him about 20 minutes. When it was finally our turn the guy told my parents that they needed some copies, so they went downstairs to do that. They took about 30-40 minutes! Can youbelieve it? We had been there for about two hours or so. It was about 10:00 am.
When we finally got every single required paper, the couciler finally let us in, asked us some questions and told us that we could come again on Monday for the visas (what we were supposed to do there). We came out at 10:20. My dad went back to the office and my mom was supposed to take us to school at that time. There was a lot of traffic from Obarrio to school, but we finally got there. I came to the middle of D period! I lost half of the school day (luckily). Mya day went pretty normal from that time on. It was quite an stressing day.
Great post! I am glad that you made it in time for my class.
